Transitioning Your Style Into Spring
As the weather gets warmer and the nights get brighter, so can our wardrobe. Many of us get stuck with what to wear when transitioning into the spring season. With dark colors as a staple for so many in the fall and winter months, here are 5 tips on how to take it up a notch and brighten up your wardrobe:
1: Pop of Color
While you may not be ready to ditch your dark clothing and spring clean your fall essentials just yet, you can incorporate a pop of color. Black is a staple color for many, including myself, with its sleek and slimming silhouette, but you can take it into spring by adding a statement color shoe or a fun bright handbag.
2: Flower Child
Floral is back ladies! And with the festival season fast approaching and the style in full swing, this is a season staple. From flowy tops to boho chic dresses anything floral is key for a spring look. For a more subtle touch of the floral trend, try a handmade flower headband for a super sweet and feminine look.
3: White It Out
Bring out the whites as the weather warms up and your style gets lighter. Adding white denim with a flowy crop top can transition your style right into the new season. A great, well-fitting white jean is a staple in a #styleboss’ wardrobe. You can dress up white denim with a perfect pump for a more sophisticated night out look, or dress it down with nude gladiator flats for a casual day look.
4: Go Lighter
And by lighter, I mean bring on the neutrals! My favorite color palette is a neutral one, with blushes, tans, taupes, whites, and greys of all shades. If you can style your spring wardrobe with these monochromatic hues, you will be a queen of style when transitioning your clothing into spring.
5: Layer It Up
Coming from the Northeast, it’s pretty damn cold, so with that comes layers. With the weather being so unpredictable and style being priority for a #styleboss, no one wants to step into spring in a bulky down coat. You can keep warm and still look like you’re ready for warmer days with a light jacket or sweater. This season a style essential is a light taupe or camel waterfall trench, which can easily be accessorized from day to night.
